Over $28 million is being made available for education, outreach, testing, and enforcement.
The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) announced on Friday that it is making more than $28 million in funding available to fair housing organizations in America. The department’s Fair Housing Initiatives Program has opened grant applications to fund education and outreach for fair housing initiatives, as well as training for investigations into the proper upholding of fair housing standards.
“HUD’s partnership with fair housing organizations is critical to ensuring fair housing awareness and enforcement of our laws,” said HUD Principal Assistant Secretary for the Office of Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity Demetria McCain. “The grants made possible by this funding will strengthen this partnership and further the long-term fair housing priorities of the Biden-Harris Administration.”
